Interesting piece with Alfred Hitchcock giving away some movie trickery in the making of Foreign Correspondent and Psycho. Interesting stuff.

the human comedy

I liked this movie because it portrayed America at war, a war that almost shocked us out of our innocence; not quite, America was still a country where we were mostly safe from each other. It was much later that we became a country not safe to walk around in during the night.

Casablanca

How many times can you watch a movie without it becoming boring? I'm on the clock with Casablanca.

THE BEST YEARS OF OUR LIVES

I love this portion of this great movie. Why? Because it is full of hope for the future. The men who fought that war were full of it and they deserved whatever hope they had. I hope that most of them found what they were fighting for.
